Conferencing Employees Stay Home to Help the Planet
Nationwide Green-Out Headlines Company's Earth Day Activities

Americas 130 million workers generate 1.68 metric tons of
CO2 per year through commuting, business travel, computer use and
other related activities. So this Earth Day employees at Communiqué
Conferencing, the worlds leader in conferencing and collaboration
services, helped save nearly a ton of CO2 just by staying put for
one day.
During
Communiqués 2009 Green-Out, employees will
have the option to work from home one day during the week of Earth
Day and use conferencing to conduct business. In 2009, nearly half
of Communiqué's employees participated in the program.
In
a recent survey, we saw that 66 percent of companies make travel
reduction their number one priority for working green, said
Adelphi Kennedy, Director of Corporate Communications at Communiqué

like the Green-Out.
In
addition to the Green-Out, Communiqué employees will volunteer
at events across the country to clean up and improve their communities;
all employees who participate in an event will receive a reusable
grocery/tote bag so they can do their part for the environment 365
days a year. Communiqués sales team will devote Earth
Day to introducing customers to new conferencing technologies that
can help them skip the face-to-face meetings and reduce their carbon
emissions.
